Even before it was officially a town, Bigfork had a power plant (1889) which gave its name to the town's main street, Electric Avenue. By the time the township of Bigfork was officially platted in 1902, electric power lines stretched the length of the main street--”Electric Avenue”. in 1932, 90% of rural America was still without electricity, lighting their homes with gas flames and coal oil lamps but Bigfork was electrified!.

Our Story

Electric Avenue Gifts is located on Electric Avenue in the charming town of Bigfork, Montana. In perfect harmony, Bigfork is nestled in mountains yet hugs the shoreline of Flathead Lake (the largest lake west of the Mississippi).
With such a picturesque setting, it is no wonder Loyd and Laura Meissenburg found their way to Northwest Montana in 1985. Laura began working at the tiny gift shop that was attached to a bar (shopping and drinking, why not?). Soon thereafter Laura became partner and then took over ownership.
In 2008, the shop moved physical locations to accommodate more space, but not to worry, it was just across the street, still on Electric Avenue.
Today, Electric Avenue Gifts is the west's most whimsical gift store. And now with an online store, you can shop anytime from anywhere!

Flathead Lake Cherries
Because western Montana grows the best cherries on earth, Electric Avenue Gifts devotes a whole section of our store to the Flathead cherry! We sell everything from cherry pitters and berry strainers to cocktail napkins, candy, jam, and ornaments, all with the cherry motif. The actual fruit is for sale up and down East lake shore, at numerous road stands. Lapin, Sweetheart, Rainier, Van, Stella, Lambert, and Skeena. Take your pick in late July/Early August. Nothing says summer like just-picked cherries. If you need some shipped to you call 509.966.1814 and order them in large quantities.
Shipping Information
Electric Avenue Gifts ships via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. Orders going to a post office box will ship via USPS. Any order over $200 will require a signature for proof of delivery.
Orders usually ship within five business days. Vintage Signs and Box Art are made to order and usually ship within 14 business days. Orders over $350.00 ship free within the continental US!
If your package does not arrive or is damaged, please notify us within 30 days to make a claim with FedEx or UPS. If you are not 100% happy with your purchase, we want to make it right and will be happy to assist you with eligible returns. If you need a return or exchange, send us an email at info@electricavenuegifts.com so we can discuss a replacement.
